Zhivko Petrov is a Bulgarian pianist, composer, music producer and an arranger. He has worked with many Bulgarian musicians such as Lili Ivanova, Yildiz Ibrahimova, Kamelia Todorova, Beloslava, Maria Ilieva, Hilda Kazasyan, Orlin Pavlov, Lyubo Kirov, Orlin Goranov, Vasko Vassilev, as well as international ones such as Chico Freeman, Francesco Bearzatti, Natalie "The Floacist "And Natalie Cole.

 Zhivko Petrov's long-time collaboration with Dimitar Semov and Veselin Veselinov (Eko) grew into Jivko Petrov Trio (JP3), which officially formed in 2006. The trio quickly became one of the recognizable jazz formations in Bulgaria. In 2007 JP3 released their first DVD “Understandable” and  were invited to perform before Chick Corea and Bela Fleck at Sofia Jazz Fall the same year. A few years later, their first studio album came out- "It's a Dream" (2012) where a special guest in the eponymous play is Vasko Vassilev (violin). The album became the best-selling digital jazz album for Eastern Europe and the trio was invited to participate in the London Jazz Fest in 2012. In 2015, after a successful tour in Canada, JP3 recorded its second studio album "Between the Worlds" together with quartet Arena, whose premiere is June 2, 2015.
