Hristo Yotsov was born in 1960 in a family of musicians. He graduated from a musical school and academy in the percussion instruments class of Prof. Dobri Paliev. During his military service (1979-81) he traveled to the Ensemble of Construction Forces, where he played in the Wind Orchestra. There he made his first attempts as an arranger. Since 1989, he has been conducting a class of percussion instruments at the Pop and Jazz Department at the Pancho Vladigerov Music Academy. He played with Simeon Shterev, Milcho Leviev, Yildiz Ibrahimova, Theodosii Spassov, Tommy Smith, Andy Schofield, Adam Pieronchik, Eric Pro, Steve Hamilton, Tim Garland, Alexie, Reggie Warman, Benny Mopin, Steve Slegg, Tom Harrell and many others. He is a music author and arranger for jazz formations, big-band, symphonic, film and theatre music.
