2015 - the year of the first edition of the one-of-a-kind Blues and Jazz Festival. Blagoevgrad gathered on one scene the blues and jazz majesties in order to proclaim the establishment of one new and unique music format in Bulgaria.

On 28 and 29th of March on both stages of the festival - Mall Largo and the hall of the Drama Theater "Nikola Vaptsarov"- sang some of the most beloved blues and jazz artists.
The festival was opened by Finn Eero Turka and Dragan Milev-Dary, the coolest Bulgarian blues formation "Delta Roosters" and Vasko the Patch, together with Podouene blues band.

The irresistable Stephka Onyan and her students launched the second festival evening dedicated to the first half of the 20th century in the southern parts of the United States, a jazz that combines African and European musical traditions. Vasil Petrov, Lachezar Katsarsky and Big Band Blagoevgrad filled up the hall with the repertoire of the great Frank Sinatra, because 2015 was dedicated to the 100th anniversary since the birth of the singer.

Vasko the Patch: "I am very happy that there is already a Blues and Jazz Festival in Bulgaria. We traveled all over Europe and we played at several such festivals, and you can imagine how happy I was when I received a call from Blagoevgrad and that someone was paying attention to our modest blues society "

Boris Yanev: "The Blues is serious music and it must exist, and a few of you know that  in order to exist- the Big Band has to go through Blues”
